Krishnamurti : Discussions with Religious Scholars

Throughout his life Krishnamurti held discussions with scholars from various religious traditions who came to him seeking clarifications and a deeper understanding. In engaging with them, Krishnamurti was able to delve easily into the essence of any religious philosophy, be it the Upanishads, Buddhism, or Vedanta. Free from the burden of traditional religious knowledge, Krishnamurti spoke from direct perception. He pointed to a way of living in complete order that is essential to discover whether there is something immeasurable.

This book contains twelve intense discussions, eight of which are hitherto unpublished. The participants include Swami Venkatesananda, Rev. Eugene Schallert, Walpola Rahula, Pandit Jagannath Upadhyaya, and Alain Naudé. Krishnamurti’s profound insights in these discussions establish him as one of the greatest spiritual teachers of all time.
