A CELEBRATION TO REMEMBER

The group photo sums up a beautiful day. Sunday 1 October. It was the occasion of the release of the 400 plus page ‘The Book of Life: Daily Meditations with J Krishnamurti’ in Bengali. Each one of those present enriched the occasion by attending despite the inclement weather and threat of heavy rain. Of course, the day belonged to ‘The Book of Life’ and those who gave birth to it. The book was the star today and very much in demand. It had celebrity status!

- Mark Lee who first brought it all together in the original English book and provided the Inspiration
- Bhagirath Behera who came forward to fund the book in Bengali
- Prabir Banerjee who undertook the arduous work of translation
- Basab Chatterjee who ensured the printing of the book to high standards
- Sreyashi Sen who typed the text of the book in Bengali
- Gautam who provided support in so many different ways
- Annapurna and Vivek Raju of KFI Publications whose support was invaluable
- Ramen Das and Chirojoy Chatterjee of our Centre in Kolkata for constant admin support
We missed Bhagirath Behera and Basab Chatterjee today. Once again, thanks to all for making this a day to remember.
