The path of nature is the path to follow. That path is the path of freedom, too. I discovered that after going through a lot of turmoil at the health level to begin with. While working in the Indian Air Force (where I served for 15+ years), I was diagnosed with an array of diseases including diabetes, spondylitis, high cholesterol, chronic rhinitis at the early age of 28 years in early 2004. Rather unexpectedly, I was on medication and the list of medicines was increasing, day by day.
“Can I not lead a life independent of medicines?”
This was a simple question to myself after being faced with a regime of so many medicines. I started experimenting with diet changes and moved closer to natural (unconditioned) foods which are not modified ones or least modified ones. Happily, the medicines reduced substantially. As it was seemingly an effortless experience, it created in me a whole new inquiry.
“Is the lens with which life was being looked at, a valid one?”
I began asking this question in all earnestness. It was clearly not just a matter of dietary changes. Should we not question all the conditionings that we undergo in our lives and which curtail the freedom to act without a past?
Gradually, it became clear that the vitality in an organism is the key to its health and happiness. The vitality is used or misused in accordance with the patterns of our daily living. With the initiative, PSYsolution, I started facilitating conversations to inquire into the whole area of total health and happiness. What role did the psyche play in total health? Some friends mentioned to me how the teachings of J Krishnamurti could also help our journey immensely.
And they did help me immensely. From then on, it has been wonderful to explore the K-teachings. I found that the term ‘conscious inaction’, which we were using in our conversations to suggest how we merge with nature and the natural healing might happen, had similarity to the term ‘choiceless awareness’ used by Krishnamurti. Conscious inaction is a choiceless action with awareness that comes through our ability to be in complete harmony with nature.
Nature Cure is not a science of symptomatic reliefs. The cure must come inside-out, in totality. All outside-in approaches are nothing but symptomatic suppressions. Mankind is confused in considering suppressions as cure. The lacuna in the conventional lives of human beings is in considering ‘a part’ as ‘the whole’. The illusion of a solution through ‘fragmented and distorted seeing’ is the primary cause of human suffering.
I consider that the teachings of J Krishnamurti have helped me so much in my journey of exploring nature and life. It didn’t happen through a blind following of a ‘guru’ but it all happened spontaneously without planning through the process of inquiry.
Tell me more about the ‘conscious inaction’ that you have discovered and followed in your own understanding.
Sir,
Thanks for your inquiry…
It has definitely started with changing of food in 2014. We started realizing the confinement of choices in food to begin with. If we can drop our choice in food, looking at the nature and nature of food for all organisms, a lot of things get revealed.
The food for all organisms are mapped inside out – it means the taste is not intentionally framed but naturally mapped with respective organism.
Mankind, with choices, made it outside in.
With processed and cooked food, mankind produces taste to lure the taste-buds. In nature, this happens only in mankind due to the capability to choose, mentally.
When we the choices are dropped in food, observing nature, the truth appeared more clearly in other areas of life as well.
We started understanding the areas of sexual understanding and mind as a whole too…
Choiceless awareness is conscious inaction where action happens spontaneously with awareness and without any choice.
Let’s inquire together more on 7th May 2022, during our conversation.
Thank you…
